John W. “Wally” Dant, Executive Chairman
Wally brings an extensive home care and hospital management background to myNexus. Most recently, he was the Chief Executive Officer of SunCrest Healthcare, developing this home care and hospice company from start-up to $100 million in value, selling to Almost Family, Inc. in December, 2013. Previously he was a director with Navigant Consulting, a leading healthcare consulting firm. Prior to Navigant, Mr. Dant served as senior vice president-operations for HCA’s home care operations at the time when HCA had more than 400 home care locations generating over $1 billion in revenue.
Mr. Dant also has an extensive background with hospital operations and managed care contracting, having worked for both hospital management and insurance companies. Mr. Dant holds a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University and a master’s in business administration from the University of Louisville. Wally also serves on the Foundation Board of the largest non-profit senior services organization in middle Tennessee, Fifty-Forward.
McArthur VanOsdale, President, CEO
McArthur co-founded myNEXUS after extensive entrepreneurial experience in developing and managing services and technology platforms across healthcare. Prior to myNEXUS, McArthur served as Chief Development Officer for SunCrest Healthcare where he successfully developed SunCrest into one of the top 10 in-home providers nationally. Previously, McArthur co-founded Harpeth Consulting, a management consulting and strategic advisory firm. Through his leadership, Harpeth exceeded a 70% year-over-year growth rate servicing payer, provider and technology clients.
McArthur also served in various senior level roles for AIM Healthcare and Navigant Consulting focused on technology enabled cost containment services for payers & providers. Through his experience in healthcare, McArthur specializes in home care operations, telehealth & post-acute alignment partnerships, payer claims technology, data mining, revenue cycle technology, managed care contracting, and hospital operations.
Bill Frist M.D., Board Member
Sen. Frist represented the state of Tennessee for 12 years in the U.S. Senate, including four years as Senate Majority Leader. Under his leadership, Congress passed the 2003 Medicare Prescription Drug, Improvement and Modernization Act and approved unprecedented levels of funding for the fight against HIV/AIDS. Sen. Frist gained recognition earlier in his career as a world-renowned heart and lung transplant surgeon and founder of the Vanderbilt Multi-Organ Transplant Center. Currently, Dr. Frist serves as an adjunct professor of Cardiac Surgery at Vanderbilt University.
Dr. Frist serves on the boards of publicly-traded companies AECOM, Select Medical Corporation, and Teladoc, as well as on the boards of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, The Nature Conservancy, and the Kaiser Family Foundation. In addition, he serves on multiple early- and mid-market health boards. He co-founded Aspire Health, is a founding partner of Frist Cressey Ventures, and is a board member of Devoted Health.
Oliver T. Moses, Board Member
Oliver T. Moses has spent the last 24 years as a healthcare industry investor and advisor. Mr. Moses serves as the Managing Partner of WindRose Health Investors, a private equity fund that manages over $700 million in assets. Prior to joining WindRose in early 2006, Mr. Moses worked in Merrill Lynch’s healthcare investment banking group where he was responsible for advising leading healthcare companies on mergers, acquisitions, and capital structure strategies. Mr. Moses joined Merrill Lynch in 1994, and during his investment banking career, raised more than $6 billion for his clients and advised on M&A transactions with an aggregate value of $16 billion. Prior to investment banking, Mr. Moses was a healthcare-focused securities analyst in Merrill Lynch’s equity research department, where he was ranked as one of Wall Street’s “Up and Comers” by Institutional Investor’s All-America Research Team Survey.
Mr. Moses currently serves on the board of directors of AGS Health, MDsave, myNEXUS, Shearwater Health, Trumpet Behavioral Health and Vital Decisions. Outside of his professional work, Mr. Moses serves on the board of the African Dream Academy Foundation and as a deacon of The Brick Presbyterian Church. He lives in New York City with his wife and two children.
Mr. Moses holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bowdoin College.
Christopher J. Burnes, Board Member
Mr. Burnes is a Partner at WindRose Health Investors. Prior to joining WindRose Health Investors in 2011, Mr. Burnes worked at Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe where he evaluated and executed investment opportunities in the healthcare and business service sectors. Previously, Mr. Burnes worked in the Investment Banking Division at Bank of America, where he focused on financial sponsor and leveraged finance transactions. Mr. Burnes received an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School and B.A. from Connecticut College. Mr. Burnes currently serves on the board of directors of Avadyne Health, Medical Knowledge Group, myNEXUS, Trumpet Behavioral Health and Vital Decisions.
